It appears that the rain has returned to our lovely coastal California area. Well, we can use it, it's been a fairly dry and sunny winter. It's just so unusual to get the warm, sunny days when it should be dark and stormy and then get the cold, damp, dark days when the bulbs and trees have decided to begin their magnificent display of colors. Nature is just full of surprises !
I see the dazzling greens of the first poppies poking out from the earth and realize that it won't be long before the area is covered with the beautiful bright oranges and yellows from the California poppies.
As a visual treat, and a promise of flowers that which will be here soon, I offer this lovely view of Eureka that I captured a few years ago ... "Humboldt Bay Poppies".
