The sky, the trees, the water and all that encompasses our beautiful country and most especially the unspoiled environs of far Northern California provide endless visions of beauty and drama.

My inspiration, like a perfect flower or stunning sunrise, takes time to materialize.  I am constantly in search of the image that will call my 'creative self', and it may take many months to discover one.

The paintings exhibited here have been created over decades of exploration.  They all record a small moment in time of my visual existence on this Earth.

My goal is to share a feeling of joy, surprise, solitude and beauty with you, my viewer.  Thank you for sharing this experience with me.

My introduction to oil painting came in the early 1980's by taking a Photorealism painting class while attending Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, California.  I graduated from Humboldt State University in 1985 with a BA in Art and entered my lifelong profession/obsession as an oil painter/artist.

My creations can be found in art collections throughout the United States.
